01Wearing it

On the outside of the shirt, high on the chest just below the collarbone.
Small window faces up and straight ahead — not tucked under a collar.
Magnet clip comes up from inside the shirt and drops into the frame on the back — seated in the frame is what stops it sliding.

Keep it where you can see it — not at school yet. Magnets are strong: keep away from small children, and if one is swallowed, seek medical care immediately.

02Charge once a day

Port	USB-C on the upper-left edge, any USB-C cable
Full / runtime	About 1.5–2 hours / about 2 days
Power switch	None — it runs whenever it has charge

No indicator light, so charging looks the same as charged. Check the battery in the app. Charge bath-time to bedtime and unplug when full. Someone home, on a table — not overnight, not in a bed.

03Open the app once a day

This is the one that matters

Data only moves when the app is open and the phone is within a metre. The device holds about one day, then overwrites. Two days without opening the app and those two days are gone for good.

A minute or two is enough — it connects and syncs by itself, no buttons to press.

Not waterproof — remove for baths and swimming. Engineering prototype, not a medical device; it cannot diagnose or treat anything.

04What the buzzes mean

Only during close-up work — reading, homework, tablet. Never during meals, walks, car rides or TV.

3 short	Too close (under 20 cm for over a minute)
2 short	Too dim (close work in low light, over 2 min)
1 short	Time to look up (30 min of continuous close work)

It still gets things wrong sometimes — tell us when it does.

05The "what were they doing?" prompt

Answer early	Past 20 min, memory isn't reliable
Don't know	Tap "Not sure" — a guess actively hurts
Got it wrong	Tap the entry to fix it

06If something's off

Seems dead	Charge it — no switch, no light, flat is silent
App can't find it	Bluetooth on / within a metre / app open
Slides down	Seat the magnet clip inside the frame, not on the flat back
Wet or cracked	Stop, don't charge, contact us (lithium battery inside)

07On loan · reach us any time

The prototype goes back after 30 days — we pay the shipping, the CA$20 deposit is refunded. In week 3 we'll ask about pre-ordering; no is a fine answer.
